Arepas with Rumba Cheese
Ingredients
- Andino Rumba Cheese, Fresh (cuajada) Rumba Cheese or D’hoja Rumba Cheese
- 1 cup of White or Yellow Corn.
- 1 cup and 3 tablespoons of water.
- Salt to taste
- Butter
- Sugar to taste
Preparation
- In a container place the White or Yellow Corn.
- Add the water little by little. Add salt and sugar to taste to flavor the dough.
- Add a little Butter if you wish.
- Add ground Cheese D’hoja, Cuajada or Andino Rumba to taste.
- Mix very well and let the dough rest for 3 minutes.
- Knead until you obtain a smooth dough without lumps.
- Assemble the small arepas and grill on a hot grill.
- To finish, you can open the arepas and add grated cheese.
- Enjoy this delicious tradition!
